Hall of Fame - Vaughn L. Lloyd

Jordan star Vaughn “Tuffy” Lloyd made the All-State first team during high school, and that was the beginning of a distinguished football career for the young athlete.

At BYU, Vaughn was a three-year varsity letterman, and was named to the 1938 Tribune All-Conference team, the Big Seven Spalding Guide Honor Roll first team, the 1938 United Press Big Seven All-Conference first team, and the Associated Press All-Conference first team. He was the only player from the Rocky Mountain area to be chosen for the AP All-American squad of 33 men, being named to their All-American third team.

Vaughn was never forgotten by his fans, and in 1969 he received honorable mention on the Region’s All-Time Greats list created in conjunction with college football’s centennial year.
