The Cougar Club proudly sponsors various events throughout the year. They include the following:

Academic Athlete Honors Banquet
An annual dinner event to honor the academic accomplishments of student athletes and coaches. All students with a GPA of 3.2 or higher are invited.

Y-Awards
A yearly gathering of the club to change officers and to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of some of BYU’s very finest athletes.

Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions
An event started in 1975 to induct former athletes and athletic personnel and administrators in to BYU’s prestigious Hall of Fame. Each year five individuals are added to those previously inducted at a formal ceremony in the Cougar Club Stadium Room.

Luncheons
Monthly activities held by the Utah County Chapter to provide members with an opportunity to meet with members of the coaching staff for exclusive insight into BYU sports. Utah County luncheons are sponsored by local restaurants.

Athletic Tours
The BYU Alumni Association and Cougar Club co-sponsor tours to athletic events. In addition to one or two major tours each year, arrangements are made for special discounts at hotels in MWC cities when BYU football and basketball are on the road.

Athletic Team of the Year Selection
The Cougar club annually selects and provides special recognition to the men’s and women’s teams that have the best athletic and academic record.

Scholarship Endowment Program
A program that began in January of 1992 to create an Athletic Scholarship Endowment Fund to help student-athletes complete their college education and graduate by taking classes during spring and summer or after they complete their athletic eligibility. Athletes assisted by the Athletic Scholarship Endowment are encouraged to make personal contributions to replenish the fund as soon as they become financially able.

Golf Tournaments
On occasions the Cougar Club or its chapters have sponsored golf tournaments to benefit BYU Athletics.

Out-of-State Chapter Events
Several club chapters outside of Utah hold annual meetings and other activities connected with athletic events in their area. Each chapter is organized with a president and other leadership as needed.
